Please fill in the details on the form.  Once registered a response spreadsheet will be in the header of this blog and will be sorted according to ages of students. Please feel free to visit other blogs with similar age students and make some global connections.  The question  about way to contact you will not be visible on the spreadsheet but feel free to check with me if there are no contact details on the class blog you would like to connect with.

  1. I teach a 4/5 combo and we have just started our class blog. I am very new at this, but love the challenge. I would like to join the Student Blogging Challenge but have a couple concerns. Is it too late to start? Do we start in the beginning with week one or pick up on the current week?

    1. G’day Teacher Gal,
With the challenge being nearly over, I would suggest you look through the different weeks and decide on some activities to do with your class. The next challenge starts again in March 2014 and a new registration form for classes and students will go up in late February on this blog. Feel free to join us again next year.

  2. I’m teaching an 8th grade Journalism class, and my kids have a blog they maintain at http://www.olsschool.org/roar. Stop by and give them a read when you can – they’d love to get some comments from around the state, the country and the world!

    Blessings & Peace,
    Hugo

  3. We are a grade 4 class in a smaller suburb of Kansas City, MO, USA. This is my first year trying the blog, and our class would love to connect with a similarly-aged class anywhere in the world!

  5. Hello,

My Grade 9 class started blogging in Spring Quarter, but we will be starting from the beginning of the year this time. I look forward to kicking it up a notch and hope to learn new and interesting techniques along with my boys. They will be creating their own blogs when school begins September 8th. 8. Greetings! I registered my class blog in the challenge last spring, and I’m excited to be joining for the start of the school year this time around. 9. Hello!
I have been teaching for 24 years and this year my students will be in Grade 5, ages 9 -10. My hope is to have my class connect with another class in a different part of the world than Canada to work with throughout the year in whatever capacity or direction this journey takes us. It truly motivates me as a teacher to give this opportunity to my students to make friends abroad! Please feel free to contact me if you have similar interests.

  10. Hi Paula,
I teach grades 6,7, and 8 and will have my 7th and 8th graders register once school starts as well. I have registered my class blog, Hey Kids! http://bdonofrio.edublogs.org. We’d love to connect with you once school begins.
We participated in the student blogging challenge last year for the first time. Miss W. really helped us learn how to make interesting posts. Thank you, Miss W.!
Enjoy the rest of the summer!

  11. Although I registered my class through my class website- all of my 7th grade students will be registering once school starts in two weeks. Each student has their own website, which will be linked to the class site I submitted.
