Students – September 2010

Students, please choose at least 10 other students not from your class to visit regularly and leave comments. You might like to check out their hobbies as well as the country they are from.

If you have not yet had a comment from Miss W. welcoming you to the challenge, please leave a comment below, so she can come to your blog quickly.

Notice please, we have spammed a few blogs that don’t appear to be legitimately taking part in the challenge. Any new students wanting to join at this late stage will be checked thoroughly before being added to this list.

    I wasn’t sure where to leave this message, but I hope here works! . . . .

First, my student, Isaiah (mentalweight.blogspot.com) has turned 9 and is hoping desperately that you will update this information if possible.

Second, I notice you seem to be short on commentors. I would be happy to assist!

Thanks Ms Tatiana, I will up date Isaiah’s age and add you as a commenter. Could you work with the 10 year olds from MaryaH down to AddieA who presently is at the end of the list. If more 10 year olds join, I might include a few more for you.

Miss W: I want to thank you for putting this challenge together for the students of edublogs. My kids are loving this. Also I wanted to provide corrections to some of the broken urls in the list above:

    MarissaB is http://12016bonettn.edublogs.org/
    KelsieK is http://2016kehnek1.edublogs.org/
    beckyZ is http://zeppr1.edublogs.org/
    ErnestoA is http://2015antoninoe.edublogs.org/

      Mr Peglow,
Thanks for the corrections, these have now been fixed. I notice your class blog has not been updated since last year. Do you still want that included on the class page for the challenge?

      • mrpeglow says:

Yes please keep me on the list. I am updating it (although slowly). I will be commenting and be completely up to date by th eend of the week. Sorry for the slow get up and go.

Hi, If you still need help, I’m willing to comment on some blogs. I prefer elementary school children. Please let me know how I go about doing this. Thanks

    Hi All

Ben in my class noticd that he is unable to open the Posterous blog sites are banned by our school filtering system – “Campus Watchdog”I am not sure if this can be rectified but it may explain why some children’s blogs are not being visited?

  6. Hi,
I think I am in your list as Mrs. Novak; Could you please update it to Nowak with a “w”? Thanks.

  7. In your spreadsheet, there is a section that says “Mrs. Nowak will be commenting” — does that mean that I comment on each of the student blogs there? If so, how often? Please clarify.

    Thanks,
    Jeannine Nowak

    • Miss W. says:

Sorry but it is Bev NOVAK who is actually doing the commenting. I did have it spelt correctly the first time. Bev has offered to be a blogging helper and will be leaving comments on a group of student blogs as listed there.

  9. Jan Smith says:

Hi Sue, I know it is the final moments of the Student Blogging Challenge, and I wanted to tell you once again how grateful I am that you give your talents and time to kids and teachers globally. You knit us together.

Although we are coming at various challenges weeks after they are posted, we get so much out of the experience. We appreciate the list of participants above as it becomes a one-stop shop for blogs to read. My students signed earlier this week as their blogs are now up and running. If we got spammed out or if the list is closed, could you let me know? They all have h4 in the url.

    Merci, Merci!

    Jan

      Jan,
I haven’t updated the list of the student participants for a couple of weeks. Your students can still take part in the activities, they just won’t be on the list. The next challenge will start in March, so if they check the blog (mid February) a form will be on the blog to register.
