The next student blogging challenge will be starting in mid September. Over the next few weeks, I will be getting the registration forms ready and posted on a page on this blog. Make sure you keep checking and sign up when they have been published.

While you’re waiting for the challenge to start, here are a couple of blogs you could leave comments at:

The Blogger’s Cafe – run by students to help teach their teachers about blogging – has many classes from around the world taking part

Travelling with Mr ‘Davo’ Devil – while the challenge is on, Miss W will actually be travelling around parts of USA and Canada with a little Tasmanian Devil. Perhaps you would like them to visit your school.

  1. I am so excited to try this with my 6th grade students, but I can’t get them signed up with google using the + sign. It says I can’t use a symbol in the e mail address. Can anybody help me? I want them to have their own pages this time!

    1. Suzi,
When students sign up as individuals in the challenge, they don’t need to give an email address. They do, though, need to give the URL of their own individual blog. Otherwise you are better to sign up as a class blog and have the students as categories on the sidebar.

  2. Hi there–

I am so pleased to find that you are running this program again. I am about to start a school year with 5th graders, and wanted them to blog but worried that I wouldn’t be able to have them find readers or a community. Is this program age-appropriate?

I am also starting with me doing all the posting of the material they give me, just to assuage the fears that parents might have and to avoid having to get them all set up with email accounts. How are others handling these issues?

    Thanks again for running this!

  3. Dear Miss W.

I love the blogging challenges! Unfortunatly, I missed out on the last one, but I did join the game of tag. I’m going to ask my mom to help me sign up for this one. I look forward to the upcoming blogging challenge. I know that you will have amazing challenges, as always.

    Sincerely,
    Jaden

    1. G’day Jaden,
Fantastic! It will be great to have you come along on the challenge journey with us. You might have some ideas for challenges i could use.

  4. Hey Miss W.
I was wondering if you could let me know what are the challenges like in the student blogging challenge for individuals, and whats in it for us.

    Gabi

    1. Gabi,
If you look on the sidebar under latest challenge posts and check out ‘Challenge 5 or 6 or 7″ that will give you some ideas what the challenges are like. Otherwise join the challenge and visit students who also join, see what they are posting about.

  5. I’m so excited about this next round of challenges! I have already had a few teachers welcome me into their class for blogging this next year.

    Kind regards,
    Mrs. Watanabe
