Over the last five years, thousands of bloggers from all over the world have come together on what has become known as Blog Action Day.

This year, everyone is being asked to write a post about food.

You can find a more complete list of post ideas here, but topics range from favorite foods, culture, hunger, organic, and much more.

Basically, anything related to food is ‘on the table’ – so to speak.

How to Participate

Participating in Blog Action Day is easy, and we encourage all Student Challengers to publish a post about food between now and Sunday, the 16th.

Make sure to do the following:

  1. Register your blog here – This will help the organizers keep track of all participants and let others find your blog easily as well
  2. Write and publish a post about food – Any topic you want!
  3. Add a tag to your post with #BAD11 – This will let people search for your post as well
  4. Leave a link to your post in the comment below – So that our Student Challenge community can easily find fellow participants

Why Are We Doing This?

Blog Action Day was started to help build a global discussion around a relevant and important topic. This year, it happens to fall on World Food Day, so the topic just makes sense.

Previous Blog Action Days have discussed other important issues such as poverty and water.

Edubloggers and student bloggers have been some of the most active participants in years past – it is sure to be both a fun and rewarding experience!

Make sure to leave a comment below with a link to your Blog Action Day post!

  1. Hi Miss W,

I forget to mention in my previous comment, thanks for all your help! As I said above, I have registered and I have written a post. The link has worked for me now! Thanks so much for all of your help!

  2. The registration is working now. I just got on, and I’ve created my post. Hopefully my students will be able to do the same within one period tomorrow. Of course they all have internet at home. Maybe it should be homework…

  3. Hi Miss W,

When I go to the registration page, it says that the account has been suspended, has the account been suspended? Thanks for all your help!
